GRE Tunnel Setup Guide

If you are reading this, that most likely means that you have recently purchased a GRE Tunnel from us. If not, please feel free to check out our GRE Tunnels here.

Setting up your DasVPS GRE Tunnel is extremely easy and only requires a few commands.

Commands:

echo 'net.ipv4.ip_forward=1' >> /etc/sysctl.conf
sysctl -p
iptunnel add gre1 mode gre local YOUR_SERVER_IP remote YOUR_DASVPS_IP ttl 255 ip addr add 192.168.168.2/30 dev gre1 ip link set gre1 up
echo '100 DASVPS' >> /etc/iproute2/rt_tables
ip rule add from 192.168.168.0/30 table DASVPS
ip route add default via 192.168.168.1 table DASVPS

If you wish to have these settings save when you reboot your server, please add all of the commands above to /etc/rc.local right before the exit 0 at the bottom of the file.

If you get any kind of error running these commands, please contact your server provider to have GRE enabled on your server.
